Experienced Attorney, Mediator, & Speaker

Trauma Informed, Culturally Attuned, Compassionate, & Communicative.

I’m a native Chicagoan, born and raised in the Chicagoland area, with a lifelong passion for justice, service, and community. The daughter of Pakistani immigrant parents who are both clinical psychologists, I grew up learning the values of empathy, compassion, and giving back - principles that continue to guide my work today.

Over the past decade, I’ve practiced law in the areas of human rights, domestic violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, family law, civil rights, and immigration. My career has been devoted to empowering low-income and marginalized communities in Chicago through both legal advocacy and community organizing.

Beyond my legal practice, I serve as Vice President of the Muslim Bar Association of Chicago, an elected board member of the National Association of Muslim Lawyers, a Mediator with the Islamic Arbitration and Mediation Services, and an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University College of Law. My international experiences, having studied abroad in Egypt, China, and Morocco, have deepened my understanding of global justice and the shared humanity that connects us all.

Ultimately, my mission is to use the law as a tool for healing, empowerment, and lasting social change.
